In his opening address, DC Bharali highlighted the directives issued by the Cultural Department, Government of Assam, urging collective efforts by all departments and stakeholders to commemorate the occasion in a meaningful and befitting manner. He emphasised that Bishnu Rabha Divas provides an important opportunity to honour and spread awareness about the immense contributions of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha to the fields of art, music, culture, and social reform.

ADC Kabita Kakati Konwar briefed the gathering about promotional initiatives being undertaken as part of the celebration. As part of the outreach, five dedicated vehicles will be deployed across the five Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) of the district. These vehicles, operating between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, will play Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha’s compositions, visit key locations, and engage with schools and colleges to popularise his artistic legacy.

DC Bharali also directed that all schools within the district should conduct a special speech or address during the morning assembly on June 20, focusing on Rabha’s life, philosophy, and cultural impact. Higher educational institutions have been encouraged to organise seminars or lectures highlighting his multifaceted contributions to Assamese society.
