YACHULI, Aug 16: In what is being described as a landmark achievement for the region, the Keyi Panyor district has officially established its own Department of School Education, fulfilling a long-cherished aspiration of the newly created district and marking an important step towards the upliftment of educators and community development.
According to an official statement, the newly created office of the District Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) at Yachuli celebrated its first Independence Day on Friday with the hoisting of the National Flag on its premises.
The ceremony was led by the newly appointed DDSE, Koj Tajang, and witnessed the participation of teachers from across the district.
Their collective presence was described as a powerful show of unity and determination to strengthen the educational foundation of Keyi Panyor.
Speaking on the occasion, DDSE Koj Tajang said the establishment of the department was not merely an administrative milestone but the beginning of a new era for education in the district.
The achievement, he noted, was made possible through the visionary leadership of the MLA of the 16th Yachuli Assembly constituency and the steadfast support of the district administration.
The official statement further highlighted that the new department, guided by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, will focus on driving quality improvements, expanding access to education, and promoting innovative teaching methods.
It will serve as the central hub for policy implementation, coordination and decision-making, ensuring that schools — including those in the most remote areas of the district — receive timely support and guidance.
Educators present at the event pledged their commitment to measurable progress in line with the mission and vision of the NEP 2020.
Plans are already underway to introduce new initiatives aimed at uplifting teaching standards, modernising learning environments and creating equal opportunities for every child in the district.
The celebrations concluded with renewed enthusiasm among teachers and officials, who described the moment as symbolic of both India’s independence and the district’s newfound autonomy in shaping its educational destiny.
As the Tricolour fluttered above the new DDSE headquarters, it served as a reminder of collective aspirations and the shared responsibility of building a stronger, more inclusive education system in Keyi Panyor.
