BOKAJAN, Aug 29: The police arrested two women at Lahorijan along the Assam-Nagaland border in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district and recovered 83.31 gms of drugs from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Hasina Begum, wife of Bajrangi Shah and Taslima Begum, wife of Md. Sofiqul Islam. Both are residents Lahorighat Seni Mari in Morigaon district.
Based on a tip-off the police on Monday conducted a raid at a particular location in Lahorijan on Monday and recovered the drugs along with cash worth Rs 10,43,000 from the accused.

The police have also registered a case against the due at the Khatkhati Police Station.
