Delhi, Jan 6: Uttar Purvi Mahotsav, a five-day cultural fest unveiling Northeast India’s richness, will take place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, from January 13 to 17, 2024.
The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and its CPSE, NEHHDC, are organising the event.
The festival, aiming to foster economic opportunities, will highlight traditional arts, crafts, cultures, handicrafts, handlooms, agro products and tourism offerings of the Northeast.
Panel discussions will focus on catalysing North East’s progress, women leaders in the Northeast, and the contributions of the youth and workforce of the Northeast.
The festival will also facilitate buyer-seller meets and a cultural showcase featuring traditional dances and performances.
During the festival, Barak Hostel at JNU will be inaugurated, and the foundation stone of a North East Convention Centre will be laid at Dwarka.
