AAU and state agriculture dept host self-financed input dealer training program

NAGAON, Aug 29: Assam Agriculture University, in collaboration with the state agriculture department, organised a comprehensive 15-day ‘self-financed input dealer training program’ for the fourth consecutive time at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nagaon, commencing on August 22.

The inaugural session of the training program was attended by esteemed figures in the field, including Hemendra Chandra Bhattacharya, former director of Extension Education at Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat, and Vigyanguru of Daffodil College; Dr Hiranya Kr Bora, principal scientist of the Nagaon Shillongani-based Zonal Research Station at Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat; and Ranjit Mishra Bhagawati, district agriculture officer, Hojai. These experts also served as the chief resource persons for the event.

Dr Niranjan Deka, head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nagaon, warmly welcomed the participants and addressed the significance of the program for input dealers in the middle Assam districts. The inaugural session was inaugurated by Dipen Chandra Nath.

The training program attracted the participation of over 25 input dealers from Hojai district, who sought to enrich their knowledge and skills in the agricultural domain, as conveyed in an official release.
