The event, held at the Mama Margaret Auditorium in Panbazar, brought back nostalgia for the alumni, who gathered to reconnect and relive the past memories. With a target to ensure maximum participation, a reach-out campaign was carried out to spread awareness among batchmates scattered across the globe through various mediums.

Organised with the enthusiastic support of the school, the reunion started at 2:30 pm. The agenda was packed with activities, including a meet-and-greet session, a nostalgic tour of the school, audio-video presentations, music, photo opportunities, and a delightful dinner. Participants were presented with exclusive memorabilia to commemorate the milestone event.

The staff (teaching/ non-teaching) were also felicitated as a token of gratitude. Teachers including Promode Moral, John Karunakaran, and Ruth Gomez spoke fondly of the Class of 2000, calling them “one of the finest batches in the history of the school which excelled both academically and professionally.”

The alumni, too, reflected on their unique place in Assam’s educational history. “We were the last batch to write board exams based on both the 9th and 10th-grade syllabi as part of the HSLC certificate. That challenge forged our resilience and unity,” one alumnus shared.
