Ankiya Nat ‘Parijat Haran’ staged at Badhampur by Kristi Vikash Kendra

DIPHU, June 17: In a vibrant celebration of Assamese culture and spirituality, Shrimanta Shankaradev Kristi Vikash Kendra of Hojai district staged the Ankiya Nat “Parijat Haran”, penned by Mahapurush Srimanta Shankaradev, on June 15 at the premises of the 9th Battalion in Badhampur, Nagaon district.

The play was performed as part of the foundation day celebration of the Atkadhuniya Naamghar, a spiritual initiative established by serving and former members of the battalion under the leadership of Battalion Commander Mukut Rabha.

Directed by renowned Sattriya artist Gajen Hazarika, the production captivated an audience of over 500 spectators, showcasing the timeless spiritual and cultural depth of Shankaradev’s work. Sponsored by Commander Rabha, the event highlighted the troupe’s dedication and artistic finesse, blending devotion with compelling storytelling.

The audience responded with enthusiastic applause throughout the performance, lauding the Kristi Vikash Kendra team for their skill, sincerity, and contribution to preserving Assam’s rich heritage.
