HOWRAGHAT, Feb. 10: The annual conference of the five Boro organizations of Karbi Anglong district concluded successfully at Langhin in Karbi Anglong district.
The third day of the session was opened by former Meghalaya cabinet minister Kapin Chandra Boro.

The 73rd annual conference of the Karbi Anglong District Kachari Samaj was celebrated along with the 35th annual conference of the Karbi Anglong District All Bodo Women’s Welfare Federation (ABWWF), the 34th annual conference of the Karbi Anglong District All Boro Employees Association and the 17th annual conference of the Karbi Anglong District Boro Farmers Association.
The opening ceremony of the event was presided over by the President of Karbi Anglong District Kachari Samaj, Dalsing Basumatary. The meeting was inaugurated by the executive member of Karbi Anglong District Autonomous Council (KAAC), Bilimohan Khakhlary. The meeting was attended by KAAC executive member, Amarsing Tisso and KAAC chairman, Raju Tisso as the chief guest.
Literature Academy Award winners, Premanand Mosahari, Arvind Uzir, Rituraj Basumatary and Ratneshwar Narzary, former executive member of KAAC, Sharat Brahma and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
