DIPHU, Nov. 15: President of West Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (WKADCC) and former
Executive Member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Sing Teron clarified that the
candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election has not been decided by the APCC and WKADCC.
Teron was responding to the claim of president of All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC), JI Kathar
that he will get the MP ticket from I.N.D.I.A Block for No. 3 Diphu Autonomous (ST) parliamentary
constituency in the forthcoming parliamentary election.
Meanwhile, the APHLC and Lurin Jyoti Gogoi who leads the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) had met here in
Karbi Anglong and agreed to work together with regional partners. AJP is already an ally of I.N.D.I.A
Block.
In a press conference held at WKADCC office in West Karbi Anglong, president of WKADCC, Teron said,
“Who will get a ticket for the forthcoming parliamentary election is yet to be discussed by the APCC.
How can Kathar claim that he will be getting a ticket from I.N.D.I.A Block? It is to fool the people.”
Teron urged party workers not to be misguided by the false proclamation of Kathar, rather they should
stick to the party’s principles.
