SIVASAGAR, June 11: In a recent incident, APDCL Sivasagar sub-division erroneously sent a bill amounting to Rs 1,14,632 to Jalalluddin Ahmed of Dhai Ali, Sivasagar, for their household electricity consumption in the month of May. This surprising bill has not only shocked the customer but has also raised eyebrows in the local community. Sudip Deori, CEO of APDCL Sivasagar sub-division, has clarified that the inflated bill was a result of a faulty reading by the Billing SMR of the digital meter. It is important to note that the bill was not served to the customer, as it has already been identified and is being processed for correction. Deori further added that the bill circulating on social media was downloaded from the internet and does not reflect the corrected amount.
