DEMOW, Jan 5: A post on X (formerly Twitter) from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighting hard work of a visually impaired teacher working at Demow Town LP School stole limelight recently and garnered emotional support from social media users.
Sarma shared the inspirational story of Ranjit Borah and said that the govt would actively support him in his journey of life of dignity.
Ranjit Borah, a resident of Demow Kaliapani Lakhiminagar is works as an assistant teacher at Demow Town LP School, located at Janatapath.
When contacted, Borah told this correspondent that he as an assistant teacher teaches Assamese, English, and Environment subjects. CM Sarma wrote on X (Saturday), “On #World Braille Day, sharing the inspirational story of Asst Teacher Shri Ranjit Bora. Despite being blind, he uses a Braille book to teach his students & has never let adversaries define him. Our Govt is actively supporting Shri Bora & many like him to live a life of dignity.”
