Guwahati, Jan 8: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront beautification project at Panbazar, Guwahati on January 20.
This information was provided by Assam’s Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal, during his site visit to the Brahmaputra Riverfront Development Project.
He assessed the progress of the park being constructed as part of the project and provided guidance to the contractors and workers. The Assam Government, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has proposed a world-class vision for upgrading the Brahmaputra riverbank in Guwahati.
Over the next ten years, several steps will be taken to enhance and beautify the city’s infrastructure. The goal is to establish Guwahati as a key gateway to not only North East India but also South-East Asia.
