Kokrajhar, Sept 30: A massive protest is underway in Kokrajhar by the All Assam Bodo Student Union (ABSU) demanding the immediate removal of Bodoland University Vice Chancellor Laishram Ladu over alleged corruption charges.
Members of ABSU and several other gathered in front of Bodoland University on September 30, sloganeering against the tainted vice chancellor who was arrested earlier and later released on bail after being given clean chit by the four member enquiry committee set up by Governor of Assam.
Bodoland University Vice Chancellor Laishram Ladu has been chagred of embezellment of university funds.

The protesters burnt effigies of the vice chancellor as well as the four members of teh enquiry committee, charging them of helping the vice chancellor. Vice-Chancellor Ladu Singh got bail after his arrest under registered case No. 01/2022U/S 120B/420/409IPC R/W Sec.13(a)/13(b) of PC Act.1988.
ABSU has demanded Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s intervention into the incident.
