Guwahati, Feb 8: A severe fire broke out at the Century Plaza building, located near Ganeshguri Hanuman Mandir, on Thursday afternoon. The fire reportedly originated from a cylinder explosion at the ‘Zubeen Garg Bhojonalaya’ restaurant, as per sources.
In response to the incident, the city’s fire services immediately rushed to the location. Their priority was the evacuation of people inside the commercial complex, while concurrently initiating water application to extinguish the flames and halt the spread of fire to other parts of the building.

All individuals in the commercial complex were successfully evacuated and are reported safe. Despite this, the property and items within the affected unit suffered substantial damage due to the fire.
