DALGAON, Sept 21: Assam Pay marked its first anniversary with a vibrant celebration at its head office in Sialmari, Darrang. Assam Pay, the brainchild of young entrepreneur Mustafizur Rahman, was recognised and approved by the Bharat Bill Payment System in Assam.
The anniversary festivities took place at the office premises in Sialmari, Dalgaon, where the management honoured six journalists for their exceptional support. These awards were presented during a cultural event organised as part of the anniversary celebration.
Mustafizur Rahman, the inventor of Assam Pay, expressed his gratitude to the people of Assam for embracing the payment application in a relatively short period. Notably, over one lakh people have downloaded the Assam Pay application, and 50 thousand customers use it for various transactions such as mobile recharges, bill payments, and LIC premium services. Local residents in attendance praised Rahman’s innovative creation.
Speaking to the media, Rahman mentioned that they have received mixed feedback from users and anticipate surpassing the one-lakh user mark soon. Assam Pay has made significant strides in its first year, offering convenient and efficient payment solutions to the people of Assam.
