BISWANATH CHARIALI, Feb 21: Assam Rifles organised a poster making competition at Bakula Garogaon ME School, Chariduar on Friday to commemorate International Mother Language Day.
The event aimed to promote linguistic diversity and cultural heritage among school children. A total of 165 participants, including 80 boys, 95 girls enthusiastically showcased their creativity through vibrant posters in Assamese, Bodo and Nepali languages and celebrated the richness of their mother tongues.
The initiative reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting indigenous languages, aligning with Assam Rifles’ commitment of engaging with the local community. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to outstanding participants, encouraging young minds to take pride in their linguistic heritage.
