DEMOW, May 9: In light of the prevailing national situation and a humble appeal made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to suspend all Bihu celebrations scheduled from May 10 onwards, the organizing committee of the 32nd Annual Sepon Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmillan has officially announced the cancellation of this year’s event.
The three-day celebration was scheduled to be held on May 13, 14, and 15, 2025, at the Sepon College Playground near Demow. In a statement issued on May 9, the organizers expressed their solidarity with the state government’s call and emphasized that the decision was taken in view of the current situation, prioritizing the nation’s sentiments and responsibilities.
