Best Flash Presentation and Poster Award to Udaratta Battacharjee

NAGAON, Dec 12: Udaratta Battacharjee, a research scholar from Centre for the Environment, IIT Guwahati had been felicitated for receiving the Best Flash Presentation and Poster Award in the International Conference on Biotechnology for Sustainable Bio-resources and Bio-economy (BSBB 2022) organised jointly for a week by IIT Guwahati and Biotech Research Society, India recently. She is the daughter of Pratick Bhattacharjee and Mamoni Sarma Bhattacharjee of Nagaon Amolapatty.
Bhattacharjee’s work signified the necessity of integrated organic farming-based investigation to address the issue associated with the hazardous chemical fertilisers as well as its impact on soil health and crops productivity. She was able to develop a bio fertiliser that has the potential to improve soil quality and the growth pattern of common bean plant through which a cost-effective microbe rich bio-formulation can be achieved, a release added.
