GUWAHATI, Sept 19: On Sunday, ‘Gagana’, the Assamese People’s Association, organised a reverent celebration of ‘Bhado Mahor Naam’ at ‘Lodha Aqua’, Mira Road, Mumbai. For the Assamese people, the month of Bhado holds profound significance as it marks the birth of Lord Krishna and the death anniversaries of the revered Mahapurush Sri Sri Sankardev and Sri Sri Madhavdev, both of whom made immense contributions to the social, cultural, and religious fabric of the Assamese community.
Under the guidance of Namacharya Anil Das, all religious rituals were conducted with utmost sincerity. The Dihanaam, presented by Minakshi Borah, Sneha Borah, Angana Saikia, and Runa Sharma, captivated hundreds of Assamese women, immersing them in deep Bhakti Raas. The melodious sounds of the flute, nagara, and taal created an enchanting atmosphere.
The entire program was skillfully managed by Madhurjya Narayan Borah and Hemanta Bhuyan, ensuring its success. The event concluded with ‘Maah Prasad’ distribution and a special meal, as Runa Sharma, representing Gagana, informed in a press release.
