Biennial conference of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha held

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 22: The 48th biennial conference of Nagsankar regional committee of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha under Tezpur was held under the aegis of Bijaypur primary branch recently with a two-day programme at Bijaypur. The delegate session selected Lakhi Bezbarua as president and Diganta Barua as secretary. Bangshi Bhuyan graced the delegate’s session as an observer. The second day session began with hoisting of the institutional flag by Lakhi Bezbarua. It was followed by a Bhagawat procession. The open session was held with Lakhi Bezbarua in the chair. The open session was inaugurated by Sharmistha Saikia. Boikuntha Prince Pathak graced the session as an appointed speaker. The session was attended by Khira Hazarika, Pradip Ray, Punaran Gohain, Gopal Krishna Bora besides others. All the proceedings were conducted by Diganta Barua.
