Guwahati, April 16: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National President JP Nadda is scheduled to visit Kokrajhar in Assam on April 18 to campaign for NDA Lok Sabha candidate Joyanta Basumatary.
The BJP National President will address a public meeting at Green Field, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar, according to Pramod Boro, United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) President and BTR Chief.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also join JP Nadda in the campaign. The UPPL has chosen Joyanta Basumatary, the current MLA from Sidli LAC and former vice-president of the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), to contest from the No. 1 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha ST (HPC) constituency in the upcoming elections.
This is one of the constituencies that the ruling BJP has allocated to the UPPL.
