DONGKAMUKAM, Sept 25: The ruling national party, BJP, celebrated the 107th birth anniversary of its founder member, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, in Ghilani, near Dongkamukam, the district headquarters of West Karbi Anglong.

During the commemoration program, BJP WKADC president Radip Ronghang shared insights into the life of this great leader. He emphasized that Pt Deendayal Upadhyay was not just a visionary leader but also an educationist, journalist, scholar, literary figure, and economist. Born on September 25, 1916, his untimely demise at the age of 52 on a train remains surrounded by mysteries.
Ronghang stated that Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay’s legacy will always be remembered. The event was attended by BJP WKADC VP and Chairman of the Veterinary Development Board, Ditolal Hasnu, along with District Kishan Morcha, David Kro, District Mahila Morcha, Munmi Teronpi, and others.
Earlier in the day, District President Radip Ronghang, along with other committee members, paid their respects by offering floral tributes to the late leader.
