MARGHERITA, July 9: “My booth my responsibility” programme held at langkhasi GP on Sunday which was organised by Itakhuli block congress committee.

Sibanath Chetia joint secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress committee (APCC) and congress candidate in the last assembly election from Digboi LAC who was present during the programme said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi through Bharat Jodo Yatra has been able to reach common people of our country and communicate with them regarding the burning problems they are facing.

Bharat Jodo Yatra is a great boon for all congress leaders and workers of our country which after every 3 days we are organising booth committee meeting at various places under Tinsukia district said Sibanath Chetia.

Sources said that if Assembly delimitation draft got implemented than in the upcoming 2026 Assembly election Sibanath Chetia may contest from newly created Makum constituency under Tinsukia district.

Being the former president of Tinsukia District Youth Congress Sibanath Chetia is popular and for many youth congress leader and workers of Tinsukia district Sibanath Chetia has become a role model for them.
