Campaigning in full swing for LAMPS election

DONGKAMUKAM, Nov 27: Election campaigning by candidates for Board of Director (BOD) for Rongkhang Co-operative LAMPS is in full swing in each pocket area.

There are a total of 30 candidates in the fray for the 15 member BOD which is slated to go for polls on November 30. The total number of voters is 575.

On Sunday, at a campaign meet in East Bhellapara, West Karbi Anglong, sitting chairman Rongkhang LAMPS Mongol Bey said, “In all sorts of emergencies, LAMPS under the direction of CEM KAAC Dr Tuliram Ronghang has stood like a wall.”

“During flood and during pandemic the LAMPS provided emergency needs to the people in distress,” Mongol Bey added.

“I once again ask you to elect me for further development of the area,” Bey added.

He further assured that the problem of shareholders being absent from the electoral roll will be rectified in near future.
