TEZPUR, Sept 16: In two separate incidents two cattle-loaded
vehicles were seized on Friday night at Dholaibil under
Jamugurihat Police Station and on Thursday evening at Besseria
under Bebejia Police Outpost.
As per sources, a cattle-loaded vehicle was seized on Friday at 2
No Borpathar near Dholaibil under Jamugurihat Police Station
by the people of the locality.
People on the spot informed that the high speed vehicle
bearing Registration no AS28AC0450 loaded with
approximately 18 cattle was coming from Gohpur Biswanath
Chariali side and entered into the village.
After searching the vehicle, people present on the spot found
that the persons in the vehicle along with the driver had
already fled away from the spot. Police rushed to the spot and
investigation is on to find the details.
Meanwhile, in the other incident, a cattle loaded truck was
also seized by police of the Bebejia police outpost under Tezpur
Sadar Police Station at Besseria on NH 15 on Thursday night
near here with 40 cattles.
As per sources a high speeding truck moving towards Guwahati
from Tinsukia hit a car at Balipukhuri on NH 15 and tried to flee
away. The persons in the  car along with people of the locality
followed the  fled truck and was able to intercept it at Besseria.
However, after getting the information the police of Bebejia
outpost rushed to the spot and seized the cattle loaded truck
which was moving from Tinsukia without any legal documents
regarding carrying of the cattle. Investigation is being carried
out by the police to find out the details.
