SIVSAGAR, Aug 21: Guardians in Sivasagar town are raising concerns about the increasing number of fraudulent educational institutions operating in the state. On Sunday, one such organisation named ‘Uttar Pub Pratibha Sandhani aru Saikhyik Bikash Pratisthan’ conducted the Vedanta Talent Search Examination in Sivasagar town. The examination was scheduled to take place at the Sivasagar Town Polytechnic High School on BG Road.

The organisers managed to enroll more than two hundred students for the examination, collecting a fee of Rs 100 from each candidate. On the day of the examination, the school opened on time, and eager students from various parts of the town arrived promptly. However, the organisers failed to appear at the examination centre. After waiting for an hour, the students were left with no choice but to return home. It appears that the bogus organisation had collected the examination fees and vanished.

Guardians and the school’s headmaster were unable to contact the organisers by phone, adding to the suspicion surrounding the legitimacy of the organisation.
