CRPF Conducts ‘Mitti’ Collection

DIPHU, Sept 28: The 20 Bn CRPF, Diphu has carried out Mitti (soil) collection in different villages of Chowkihola, Bokajan and Manja Blocks of Karbi Anglong district as part of  the ‘Meri Maati Mera desh: Amrit Kalash Yatra’ programme of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative.

The event was led by the unit Commandant Swarn Singh, unit personnel as well as other government officials along with civilians who took great interest in the soil collection. The Commandant addresses the participants about the importance of the event, which is envisaged by paying tributes to all those ‘veers and viranganas’ who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.

He also encouraged all to imbibe a sense of pride and unity and appeal to make the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign a grand success.
