DEMOW, Aug 29: Harumai Das (47), a resident of Saragua Gaon near Demow and the headmistress of Halamari Samarajan Primary School, passed away on Monday at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. Harumai Das had been battling a liver-related disease and was undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her illness on Monday at the hospital. Her untimely demise has been met with condolences from the Saragua community.

Harumai Das is survived by her husband, two children, and numerous relatives. Her contribution as the headmistress of Halamari Samarajan Primary School is remembered and respected by the community she served.
