As part of the celebration, several differently-abled individuals in the Margherita region were presented with gift vouchers. During the program, Pramila Das, the wife of Late Disambar Das and a resident of 1 number Alubari under Makum Pather Gaon Panchayat of 83 number Margherita Constituency, shared her concerns. She stated that despite having three differently-abled children, she has not received any government assistance, including benefits under schemes like the National Food Security Act, Orunodoi, benefits for differently-abled individuals, and the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin) for housing.

Expressing her struggles, Pramila Das mentioned working as a daily wage labourer to make ends meet. She highlighted her attempts to seek assistance from Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma and the Margherita Sub-Divisional Administration (Civil) office but claimed to have received no attention.

Papu Sah, the president of Children Friends Club (NGO) Margherita, emphasised that many differently-abled individuals in the Margherita region are deprived of government schemes. He appealed to chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to ensure that these individuals receive the support and benefits they deserve.
