Jorhat MP inaugurates rest room and footpath library

DEMOW, Sept 8: In a joint effort by the Bamrajabari Training Centre and Sports Association, along with the support of the local community in Panidehing, Bamrajabari, a rest room and an attached footpath library were inaugurated by Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi on Friday. During an interaction with the media, Jorhat MP Topon Kumar Gogoi shared that the newly constructed rest room and footpath library, dedicated to the memory of Miliram Hazarika in the Nitaipukhuri area of Bamrajabari, is now open to the public.

He said that the 21st century is the century of knowledge, and this initiative aims to honour Miliram Hazarika’s memory by providing a conducive environment for local residents to study in the library. The library is equipped with a wide range of books to cater to the diverse interests and needs of the community.

The event saw the presence of notable figures, including Pateshwari Hazarika, a renowned social worker, Pranab Chetia, general secretary of BJP, Sivasagar district, Hiranjit Bireswar Deori, a working member of Deori Autonomous Council, Jadab Deka Barua, a member of Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council, and other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
