DONGKAMUKAM, Nov 13: On the second day of the free land patta distribution program by the Land & Revenue Department of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), land pattas were distributed on Wednesday at Dongkamukam under the No 111 Rongkhang Legislative Assembly segment in West Karbi Anglong.

While distributing the land pattas to eligible beneficiaries, the chief executive member (CEM) of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang, sharply criticised the Opposition All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) for accusing the KAAC of distributing duplicate land pattas.

Ronghang stated, “The land pattas we distributed are genuine, each with a dag number. Every patta bears the signature of the concerned ARO. The APHLC is simply misleading the masses with false information to distract them from the truth.”

Regarding the issue of an Autonomous State, the CEM expressed his strong support, saying, “As a son of this land, I feel it should be implemented. This issue is the top priority of the present KAAC, and I urge everyone to support it.”

On the matter of employment within the KAAC, the CEM stated, “So far, 11,000 vacant posts have been filled during my tenure as CEM of KAAC. Another 500 vacant posts will be filled within a few days.”
