NAGAON, Feb 8: The Nagaon Sadar Veterinary Hospital, in collaboration with the Pathori Veterinary Health Sub Centre, organised an Animal Health Fair under the Self Priority Fund 2023-24 at Bhutai-Pathori last Wednesday.
The fair was inaugurated by Dr Avindam Garg, who addressed attendees on proper livestock management practices and provided guidance on medical care during seasonal diseases affecting domestic animals such as cows, goats, and poultry.
Veterinary physicians from the Nagaon Veterinary Hospital, including Dr Mustafizur Ahmed and Dr Abhishek Anand, distributed free medicines for various ailments affecting livestock. They also conducted medical treatments for animals during the fair.
Local animal breeders welcomed the initiative undertaken by the Veterinary Department and expressed their hope for similar programs to be conducted in the future. This initiative aims to promote better animal health practices and support livestock breeders in the region.
