Margherita College organises a 3 day book fair

MARGHERITA, Jan 23: The Margherita College Book Fair, 2025 kicked off from Thursday at Margherita College campus which is being jointly organised by Central Library of Margherita College and the Internal quality Assurance Cell of the college.

The book fair shall be conducted for three days in the campus.

The book fair was officially inaugurated by Dr Madan Sharma eminent litterateur and retired professor of Tezpur University.

Dr Atanu Kakoty, principal of Margherita college unfurled the college flag, where Dr Gautam Purkayastha vice principal of Margherita college conducted the ‘Smriti Tarpan’.

Dr Ramen Hazarika associate professor of Margherita college moderated the whole programme where Digboi College principal Dr Deep Saikia, Margherita College vice principal Dr Gautam Purkayastha and several other distinguished persons were present during the inauguration of Margherita College Book Fair 2025.

The Students of the college performed Diha Naam song in its cultural event.

A seminar with title “Entrepreneurial Prospects in Northeast India and the importance of soft skills” was organised by English and Sociology department of Margherita college.

Several publishers and Book stalls from all over Assam came at the Book Fair.
