‘Media can change society with the pen and the camera’

SIVASAGAR, April 30: “The only power that can change the world is the Supreme Soul. The next power that can change the world is the Media with the pen, the camera and the papers. If they can change one person wth its positive power, he inturn can change a million others,”said Raj jogini BK Rajani Didi of the Brahmakumari  Iswariya Viswa Vidyalay in a ‘Positive Media for a Prosperous Bharat’ programme.

The programme was held on Tuesday held in the meditation centre at Barua Changmai Gaon near Demow. She added that I depicting self is written in capital, and it symbolises the ego.That ego must go first, she said.

KK Sushanta Bhaiji, national coordinator of  Brahmakumaries media wing, New Delhi, addressed the forum and said that the media world can lead the problem riddled India towards Amrit Bharat, Swarnim Bharat, and Bikshit Bharat only through a journey in meditation and self-realisation by every media person. Once media persons are enlightened, many a problems will be solved automatically.

Dr Soumerjyoti Mahanta, principal, Sibsagar Commerce College,and the chief guest of the occasion said that the NEP 2020 is tied to spiritual education through an umbilical chord. He said that the institutions like the Brahmakumaries have a great role in nation building. He said that a spiritual orientation for media is very urgent in conflict ridden society.

Trailukya Chetia, journalists, in his speech said that many media persons get killed by the world of negativity they work in, not by disease. Manoj Kumar Borthakur, Bobita Bharali, Satyaranjan Kar also spoke on problems affecting media service.

Dr Nathuwalji, delivered a brief speech on the need of re-generation of young souls for a developed Bharat.
