Dhubri, March 10: A young man from Bilasipara, Dhubri district who had migrated to Pune, Maharashtra for work last month, was found dead under unexplained circumstances in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on March 9.
The deceased, identified as Uttam Sarkar (32), was reportedly returning to Bilasipara from Pune. His body, found in a terrible state, succumbed to injuries, leading to suspicions of foul play and potential homicide.
The incident has caused shock and anxiety among the Bilasipara community. Efforts are being made to bring the body back to Bilasipara, led by Mithun Roy, the central chairman of the minority council of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).
The incident has reignited concerns about the safety of Assamese youth, with Roy condemning it as a heinous crime against them.
The circumstances of Sarkar’s death remain unclear, leaving the community with unanswered questions and a call for a comprehensive investigation to reveal the truth behind this tragic incident.
