MARGHERITA, Sept 2: On the holy Rakshabandhan day a 6-year
old minor girl was raped by her neighbour located at Agbondha
siding Dhubi gaon under 124 number Margherita Constituency
of Tinsukia. This has created turmoil at this area.
According to the victim family members their minor daughter
at 1:00 pm went to play at Maryus Ekka house as both are
neighbours and by taking this advantage Maryus Ekka raped
her inside his room.
Maryus Ekka aged 28 years is the son of Late Tarish Ekka.
After the incident occurred the victim went to her house and
narrated the whole incident to her parents which all the
villagers went to Maryus Ekka and beat him black and white by
tying at a tree.
Margherita police rushed to the site and apprehended Maryus
Ekka from the incident place and brought to Margherita police
station.
A case have been registered at Margherita police station with
case number 193/23 US 376/A/B, R/W section 6 of POCSO Act.
