MORIGAON, Aug 14: The fervour of ‘Mur Mati Mur Desh’ resonated in Morigaon as the Morigaon Municipal Board joined the nation in celebrating the initiative at Morigaon College with great enthusiasm. In collaboration with the district administration, the Morigaon Municipal Board orchestrated the ‘Mur Mati Mur Desh’ program, a celebration of the spirit of the soil.
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished individuals, CRPF and BSF personnel, teachers, and students, all coming together to commemorate this initiative. The district commissioner, Devashish Sharma, IAS, inaugurated the program alongside Ramakant Deuri, MLA of Morigaon Assembly Constituency, Hemant Kumar Das, superintendent of police, chairman of Morigaon Municipal Board, Yogesh Tamuli, and Phani Pathak, joint director of Health Service Office. Teachers and students from various corners of the district also graced the event.
As part of the ‘Mur Mati Mur Desh’ celebration, the Morigaon Municipal Board recognised the efforts of individuals from 11 wards who have contributed to the welfare of their respective areas.
