GUWAHATI, April 16: The 133 rd Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was observed on Tuesday at the Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha in the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) headquarters in Maligaon.
Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, general manager of NFR and others officials paid homage by lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute on the portrait of B. R. Ambedkar, also known as the Father of the Indian Constitution. The officers and staff of NFR, representatives of various associations and unions were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Chetan Kumar Shrivastava mentioned about Ambedkar’s contribution towards framing of our Constitution, providing justice and equality to all classes of the society. He also spoke on his role in women empowerment and development of under-privileged section of the society. His whole life is an inspiration for all classes of the society.
