Apurba Borbora, a noted cultural as well as drama activist, stage artiste and director of Nagaon breathed his last this morning at a Guwahati based Nursing home while undergoing treatment after being severe injury in a tragic road mishap before a fortnight near at Pathori Chariali.

Bora was associated with a dozen of local socio – cultural as well as other organisations including Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad here till his death. He leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter. His premature death has cast a pall of gloom across the small town today here.

Local MLA Rupak Sarma, former AGP minister Girindra Kr Boruah, drama activists Natyapran Prasanta Sarma, BJP central executive Jogal Sarma, district unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad, Suryajyoti Sangha, Pathori Chariali and other organisations condoled his demise and also paid tribute to him.
