GUWAHATI, Aug 5: Assam’s minister of social justice & empowerment, Pijush Hazarika, inaugurated Phase-II of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana “Har Khet Ko Pani” scheme (PMKSY-HKKP-Phase II) in the Morigaon-Laharighat-Jagiroad Divisions (Irrigation) at the Manha Gaon Panchayat Auditorium under Jagiroad constituency on Saturday.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion, Pijush Hazarika reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the successful implementation of the scheme, which is close to fruition. He expressed confidence in the scheme’s potential to bring about a positive transformation in the agricultural sector and improve the lives of farmers in the state.
Minister Pijush took to social media to share the news and express his gratitude to chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their guidance and support in achieving the objectives of this scheme.
“The ‘Har Khet Ko Pani’ scheme aims to provide adequate irrigation to every field and is set to greatly benefit the farming community in the region,” he said.
The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana “Har Khet Ko Pani” Scheme is a vital initiative by the government to ensure water availability to every field and boost agricultural productivity. With the Phase-II inauguration, the government aims to further accelerate the pace of irrigation development and enhance the socio-economic well-being of farmers in the region.
