Prohibitory order in Sonitpur due to exam

TEZPUR, Jan 17: Sonitpur district admin has issued prohibitory order U/S 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in view of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) 2025 to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

The exam is scheduled to be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 at iON Digital Zone, Tiluttama Bhawan, Rubber Bagan Tiniali, Tezpur, Sonitpur district.

Accordingly, opening of cyber cafe, photocopy, printing shops, in and around 300 meters in the vicinity of the examination centre is prohibited.

No person/guardian is allowed in the examination centre except the candidates appearing in the examination (with valid Admit card duly signed by the competent authority), the supervisory staff and checking squad associated with the examination and agencies of the Government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services and any Government employees/officials engaged in the conduct of the examination. Parking of vehicles is prohibited within the radius of 50 meters from the examination centers except that of authorized person on duty during the examination period.

Mobile phones, calculators and any other electronic gadgets/communication devices such as any Bluetooth devices, smart watch, earphones etc. is prohibited inside the Examination centers/ premises except that of centre in-charge and authorized persons on duty, a PR stated.
