Ranjeet Kumar Dass inspects health and development initiatives in Tezpur

TEZPUR, Dec 5: Ranjeet Kumar Dass, minister for Panchayat & Rural Development, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, General Administration, and Law & Justice Department visited Gutlong Ayushman Arogya Mandir here on Thursday on the occasion of the ongoing Swasthya Sewa Utsav-3. During the visit, minister Dass was accompanied by district commissioner Sonitpur Ankur Bharali, joint director of Health Services Dr Rupak Kumar Barua, Dr Achimtya Pegu of Lakhimpur Medical College & Hospital, Dr Muzrina Munnaf, Mazibur Rahman, and others. After visiting the Ayushman Arogya Mandir, the minister expressed his satisfaction with the maintenance of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir and the facilities available for the rural public. The minister further expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, for bringing radical changes in the health sector to ensure the health security of the public.

Earlier, on Wednesday, minister Dass chaired a review meeting held in the DC Conference Hall, Sonitpur. The meeting reviewed the progress and implementation of the ongoing schemes under Panchayat & Rural Development, Food & Civil Supplies, and Public Distribution System, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Amrit Sarovar, MGNREGA, Assam State Livelihood Mission, New Ration Card, paddy procurement at the minimum support price, etc. Attendees at the meeting included MLA Tezpur Prithiraj Rabha, district commissioner Sonitpur Ankur Bharali, and officers of various departments.
