Rupantar staged in Hindu Dharma Sabha Namghar

SIVASAGAR, Oct 30:  As part of the 125 th  anniversary of
Sivasagar Hindu Dharma Sabha Namghar, amateur dramatist
Debabrat Borthakur’s drama Rupantar was staged recently in
its auditorium before a packed audience.  His theme revolves
around the plight of a modern man in old age, deprived of
family comfort and care that lives in virtual solitude. The
dramatist also successfully portrays the injustice, inhumanity,

superficiality, and stupidity of a section of our society
through the characters.
The renowned actors Arun Bezbaruah, Dr Mani Pathak, Bakul
Bijay Chutia, Debabrat Borthakur, Hemanta Bhunya,
Jadumoni Bora, Abhinav Dev Kashyap, Nayanjyoti Bora,
Trinayan Borthakur, Bandana Saikia, Himangshu Bhagawati,
Anjima Pathak,  Popi Das, Barnil Hazarika, and Dibym
Hazarika performed  appreciably in their respective roles.
