DEMOW, Sept 19: The morning of Vishwakarma Puja took an unexpected turn for the worse as a sudden and severe storm swept through the Saragua area near Demow. Sources report that the storm resulted in significant damage, including the tearing off of roof tins and the uprooting of trees, impacting residences in the Saragua vicinity on Monday morning.
In the aftermath of the storm, Demow and its surrounding areas experienced a power outage on Monday. Although electricity was partially restored in the afternoon, the voltage remained low. However, residents were relieved to see the full restoration of electricity during the night in Demow. The storm’s suddenness and intensity took locals by surprise, highlighting the unpredictability of weather events in the region.
