JAGIROAD, March 17: Morigaon District Magistrate Devashish Sharma has issued several restrictions under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, effective from March 18, in view of the preliminary examination of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) scheduled for March. According to the order, no one is allowed within a 100-meter radius of the examination hall except candidates and those engaged in the examination. No vehicles shall be parked within a 100-meter radius of the examination hall except those engaged in examination duty. Candidates are prohibited from carrying mobile phones or any other electronic devices, storage media devices, any written and printed materials, or any materials that may lead to dishonest means in the examination hall. No construction work shall be carried out within a radius of 100 meters of the examination center during the examination. Setting up shops is prohibited. Loudspeakers or other noise-generating devices may not be used at any event without written permission from 9 am to 6 pm. Violations of this prohibition will be subject to action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, as stated in a DIPRO press release.
