JORHAT, April 27: A sixth semester engineering student of Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology Mriganka Saikia was killed and another student of the institute was seriously injured when a dumper hit their motorcycle from behind and ran over Mriganka, at the Ajanta cinema hall bypass area recently.
Mriganka who belongs to Dibrugarh was coming to Jorhat town area with his friend when the incident occurred.
People of the area chased the dumper and managed to stop it.
