DIPHU, Dec 5: The Swasthya Sewa Utsav-3 (SSU-3), a state-wide initiative to assess and improve healthcare infrastructure, concluded on Thursday in Karbi Anglong district. The three-day event, which began on December 3, was conducted simultaneously across various districts of Assam.
In Karbi Anglong, 36 health facilities participated in the SSU-3. The primary objective of the initiative was to evaluate the existing infrastructure, equipment, and other facilities of government health institutions such as Model Hospitals, Community Health Centers (CHCs), Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Mini PHCs, and Sub-Centres.
By identifying gaps and shortcomings in these facilities, the government aims to take the necessary steps to upgrade and improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the people of Assam. This is the third such exercise undertaken by the state government, reflecting its commitment to enhancing the health sector.
The SSU-3 initiative is expected to lead to significant improvements in the delivery of healthcare services across the state, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
