DEMOW, June 11: Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain and Aditya Vickram Yadav, deputy commissioner of Sivasagar district, visited the impressive agricultural works accomplished by the dedicated members of the Mumai Tamuli Samabai Committee on Saturday. The committee, situated in Bokota Jalukani of Sivasagar district, has been the recipient of several beneficial resources from the District Agriculture Office. These resources include seeds from various schemes, water supply through sprinkler irrigation under the Prime Minister Agricultural Scheme, and effective crop protection management. The committee has utilised agricultural tools to cultivate crops such as mustard, corn, millet, brinjal, okra, and cucumber, reaping substantial benefits from their efforts. Additionally, the implementation of a polyhouse has facilitated urgent farming requirements. Notably, the SIA 3085 millet farming project covers 18 bighas of land and has garnered widespread encouragement. The deputy commissioner of Sivasagar district has expressed unwavering support and assured the provision of all necessary cooperation from the district administration.
