BAKALIA, April 19: Three died and one sustained injury in a road mishap on NH 36 near Dengaon under Dokmoka police station in Karbi Anglong.

The deceased has been identified as Lunse Rongpi (55), Biren Engti (27) and Sarthe Timung (40) and the injured Dhonsing Teron (60). They were hit by an unidentified vehicle when they were bringing bamboos in a hand cart in the wee hours to sell them in the market.
Dokmoka police rushed to the spot and took custody of the bodies and send them for post-mortem to Diphu Medical College & Hospital.
