Guwahati, Feb 9: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar will be in Assam to attend the Highest State Civilian Awards ceremony. The event is set to take place at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Tuesday, February 13.
The ceremony will honour 22 individuals for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The Assam Government will confer the awards under three categories: Assam Baibhav, Assam Saurabh, and Assam Gaurav.

The function, initially planned for February 10, has been rescheduled to February 13. A government press release stated that the Assam Government is ready to confer the awards on the selected individuals for their exceptional service and contribution.
The ceremony, organised by the State Government, will be graced by the presence of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
